Give Your Tools a Second Life: Help Us Launch the Library of Things at Curiosity Cafe!
We are looking for enthusiastic community members in Smethwick and Bearwood who love the idea of a local lending library for household items, tools, and equipment. The Library of Things station at our first Curiosity Cafes will be focused on working out how we could get this brilliant circular economy initiative off the ground. We're not sure how it would work - would we need a warehouse? could we make it work by everyone keeping their tools at home?
We need your input and action!
Become a LoT Pioneer: Turn up to find out how you can help research and organize this project. We need volunteers to figure out the logistics—how it could work, where it would be located, and essential considerations like insurance and guarantees.
Inventory of Local Assets: Do you have tools, equipment, or other items stuck in your shed that you’d be willing to share with neighbours? Come tell us what’s already here and where it is, so we can map out our local resources.
By sharing resources and working together, we think we can develop a more circular, sharing economy locally.
Join us at the next Curiosity Cafe session and help make the Library of Things happen!
