Safeguarding
Safeguarding means protecting people's health, wellbeing and human rights, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse and neglect.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. If you see or are told about something that makes you concerned about someone’s safety or welfare, then you MUST act. Speak to one of our safeguarding leads straight away. They will work with you to complete a safeguarding report.
If a child is at immediate risk of significant harm please call 999 in the first instance for police and/or ambulance services and then contact Sandwell Children’s Trust on 0121 569 3100.
If you are worried about a vulnerable adult, or suspect abuse, call 999 if they are in danger of immediate harm. Otherwise, ask a Safeguarding Lead to help you call Sandwell Adult Safeguarding on 0121 569 2266 or email us sandwell_enquiry@sandwell.gov.uk. Open from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, and 9am to 5pm on Fridays. Outside these hours call 0121 569 2355.
You will need to complete a Multi-Agency Request Form, with support from a Safeguarding Lead, without delay.
