Help us give our Wednesday Warm Welcome a little extra love!

Our community is at the heart of everything we do at Bearwood Community Hub, and the Bearwood Baptist Church Hall has been a wonderful home for our Wednesday Warm Welcome. Each week, we see between 90 and 110 friends and neighbours come through those doors for support, a hot meal, and a friendly chat. It is truly a special place, but lately, our hall has been looking like it needs a bit of dedicated care and attention to make it as inviting as the people who use it.

We are inviting you to join us for a "Spring Cleaning" week during the upcoming half-term to help us spruce up this vital community space. Whether you can spare an hour or the whole day, your hands and your heart would be so welcome.

How You Can Help

We’ve split the week into two parts, so there's a way for everyone to get involved:

• Monday 25th May & Tuesday 26th May: The Big Deep Clean & Clear Out, 10am - 4pm

We’ll be channeling our inner Stacey Solomon to clear, clean, and reorganise the hall. We want to make the space sparkle and ensure it’s a tidy, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone.

• Thursday 28th May and Friday 29th May: Creative Planting & Plant Sale, 10am - 4pm

Once the inside is shining, we’re moving outdoors! Join us to create lovely planters, decorate pots, and do some weeding to brighten up the entrance. As an added bonus, we’ll be holding a plant sale to help you bring some of that greenery home to your own gardens.

• Who: Everyone is welcome! We especially love seeing children and families join in the fun.

• What to bring: Just yourself and some comfy shoes! We will provide cold drinks and refreshments to keep our hard-working volunteers energized.

The Wednesday Warm Welcome has become a lifeline for many, providing everything from English lessons and advice to a "free shop" and after-school play. By helping us care for the hall, you’re helping us ensure that every person who walks through those doors feels valued and at home.
