Safeguarding

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.

Safeguarding means protecting people's health, wellbeing and human rights, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse and neglect.

If you see or are told about something that makes you concerned about someone’s safety or welfare, then you MUST act. Speak to one of our safeguarding leads straight away. They will work with you to complete a safeguarding report or referral to sandwell_enquiry@sandwell.gov.uk

However, if a child or adult is at immediate risk of significant harm please call 999 first and then contact either Sandwell Children’s Trust on 0121 569 3100 or Sandwell Adult Safeguarding on 0121 569 2266.

Out of hours: 0121 569 2355

Issues with a member of staff or another volunteer?

Most grievances and complaints can be resolved quickly and informally through discussion with one of the volunteer managers: Lizzie or Sally.

If this does not resolve the problem you should initiate the formal procedure by contacting our board using the button below or by emailing board@bearwood.cc
